Coach Deb is also a Physical Therapist, specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine
rehabilitation. For the past 6 years, she has worked at Elite Physical Therapy, which is
located just a ¼ mile from the Howard County Sports Center in Elkridge. Elite is owned and
operated by therapists Christy McCauley and Diane Robertson, and is located in the fitness
center known as Elkridge Athletic Club or EAC. Elite is unique in that we see our patients 1 on 1 for an hour (most clinics see their patients every 30 minutes and have multiple patients in the clinic at one time). This allows us the opportunity to spend extensive time getting to know the patient and understanding their dysfunction and devising an individualized form of treatment. We emphasize manual treatment techniques, as well as exercise, education, and modalities. In addition, we have access to a heated pool, so aquatic therapy is a bonus at Elite. Coach Deb has been a P.T. for 23 years, receiving her degree from The University of Vermont. She treats all body parts, both surgical and non-surgical. She particularly enjoys using muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, Mulligan Technique, neural mobilization, myofascial release, and core stabilization as treatment modalities. Several of her patients have continued working with her on a personal training level after completion of their rehab, to improve their overall fitness level.
